Some time in 2014:

I think after three years of uni the most important things I have learnt are:
  • Sometimes failing may mean achieving something later, but you succeed better through making mistakes
  • Family and friends are a better support that university lecturers most of the time.
  • Counselling is not a sign a weakness… It’s an eye-opening, soul-searching experience and it has helped me to understand my thought patterns, so that I can now accept who I am (and know I am normal) and so that I might avoid the same depressive traps in the future.
  • The most fun you can have when your house mates are all out, is walking around naked and enjoying the freedom
  • Fajitas are the staple diet of a student not pasta as is commonly perceived.
  • As is cheese; it goes on every shopping list. Got a boring meal? Throw some cheese on that shit and it’s heavenly.
  • And most importantly… I learnt that different colour peppers are in fact not different types of pepper but pepper at a different stage of ripeness; from green to yellow to orange to red (which is why the red ones are sweeter)
Nothing I learnt about my actual degree is important; ^these^ are the things I will take always from university and always remember…
