Oh, you know...
You know how it can be. Such a popular phrase that people throw into conversation. "Oh you know how it is..." Do we? Every experience is separate and different for each individual. It's never what happens but how we react to what happens in life. So how do we know? When people can react to the same situation so differently...?
People compare the traumas and joys and 'experiences' they've had in life, like it's a competition, when really we've all had the same emotions at some point in life, or maybe we haven't... Surely that should be what defines our how we compare our lives with each other. Or maybe we just shouldn't compare 'experiences' and emotional experiences at all...? Although, human nature is competitive and we love making connections.
If two people fulfil the same events in life they're more likely to get on with each other than two people who have never done a single thing in common. But what if - although they've never done, carried out or participated in anything the same or similar - what if both their hearts, their emotions, were the only thing that was the same instead...? Surely by that principle they should get along perfectly? It's in the emotions we feel not the actual event...
It's a developing theory of mine that I've always wanted to prove or disprove. But how can one measure connect-ability, emotions, and do so with accuracy? I best leave this one to the psychologists and the professors of philosophy...
